Media Challenge State’s Bar On Exit Polls

MINNEAPOLIS (CN) - Six media groups, including ABC, CBS, NBC and The Associated Press, challenged a Minnesota law that bars them from conducting exit polls within 100 feet of a polling place. In April, Minnesota enacted a law that prohibits anyone but voters or elections officials from standing "within 100 feet of a building in which a polling place is located." The media say that's unconstitutional.

Plaintiffs' lead counsel in Federal Court is John Borger with Faegre & Benson.
