The New Jersey Attorney General claims Arbitron undercounted the black and Hispanic radio audience in New Jersey in its new electronic ratings service - the "Portable People Meter" - in a consumer fraud and civil rights complaint in Middlesex County Court.

Two law enforcement officers demand $50 million from Primedia and Grove/Atlantic, claiming New York Magazine defamed them in a story in its Aug. 7, 2000 issue that accused police of stealing money from a drug dealer, in New York County Court.
