Med Student Says He Didn’t Do It

CAMDEN, N.J. (CN) - A fourth-year med student says the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey unfairly barred him from campus after he was falsely accused of attempted murder in March. Brett Piccioti says he didn't do it and should not have been barred from campus.

"On March 21, 2009, plaintiff was falsely accused of and charged with first degree attempted murder of Jamie Frasier," according to Piccioti's federal complaint. "The allegations essentially stated that plaintiff intentionally grabbed Ms. Frasier by the throat and threw off of a two story balcony [sic], which resulted in minor injuries to the alleged victim, Ms. Frasier."

Piccioti says he's innocent and he passed a polygraph test. He says the college violated due process by booting him. He is represented by Frances Hartman of Moorestown, N.J.
