MANHATTAN — In a suit against Salon Morrow attorney Liviu Vogel, San Francisco-based collections attorney David Cook says he is the one who identified $1.75 billion in Iranian assets held in a New York account of Citibank, fulfilling a contract to help victims of the 1983 U.S. Marine barracks bombing in Beirut, Lebanon, collect a $2.6 billion judgment, but has been denied his $180 million fee.
