Massage assault case proceeds

SAN JOSE, Calif. — San Jose officials could not dodge a federal lawsuit brought by a Vietnamese massage business owner who says she was sexually assaulted by a enforcement inspector during an inspection. City officials should have known about the inherent risks of allowing an “unsupervised solo male” to inspect a massage business, and none of the officials are shielded by immunity from her claims.
