Maryland Must Arbitrate Tobacco Settlement Case

(CN) - Maryland must arbitrate its dispute with tobacco manufacturers who unsuccessfullyasked an auditor to reducetheir 2003 payments under a master settlement agreement between tobacco manufacturers and several states, a Maryland appeals court ruled.Thedispute clearly falls under the arbitration clause of the master settlement agreement, the ruling states.
