ATLANTA (CN) - The children of Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King are embroiled in an estate squabble. Bernice King and her brother, Martin Luther King III, sued their brother, Dexter King, in Fulton County Superior Court.
Bernice King, administrator of Coretta King's estate, claims that Dexter transferred money from their mother's estate to his own accounts and to the estate of Martin Luther King Jr. Inc., which Dexter controls. She claims Dexter, who lives in Malibu, Calif., has refused to provide information about these transactions.
The complaint does not specify how much money is believed to be involved.
The plaintiffs are represented by Jock Smith with The Cochran Firm of Tuskegee, Ala., and Harmon Caldwell Jr. of Atlanta.
