Mars Recalls Some|’Combos’ Snacks

WASHINGTON - Mars Chocolate is recalling some of its "Combo" snacks for possible contamination with peanut residue.

Mars issued the recall after its grain supplier, Grain Craft, recalled some wheat flour because of the possible peanut contamination, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said.

Some people with peanut allergies can get extremely sick from the slightest exposure. Mars told the FDA it has received no reports of illness from the recalled products.

The limited recall includes Combos Cheddar Cheese Pretzel, Combos Cheddar Cheese Cracker, Combos Pizzeria Pretzel, Combos Sweet and Salt Caramel Pretzel, Combos Pepperoni Cracker, and Combos Buffalo Pretzel.

All the recalled products have a "Best Before" label of March or April 2017.

Here is a link to the FDA announcement, which includes the 10-character production code for the recalled items.
