Manager Accuses Kmart Of Age Bias

TULSA (CN) - Kmart forced the resignation of the manager of a Tulsa store, a 30-year employee, because he refused repeated orders to fire older workers who "did not fit into the 'New Kmart,'" the manager claims in Tulsa County Court.

Altus Gardner, hired by Kmart in 1976 as a manager trainee, also sued Sears Holding Corp., which merged with Kmart in 2005. He is represented by Tracy Cinocca.
