COLUMBUS, Ohio (CN) - A man claims he gave a blank check to a woman at a hair salon who promised to cut his 9-year-old daughter's hair for $13.98. He claims the hairdresser made the check out to herself for $13,720, and the bank transferred the money into her account.
Robert Garabrandt sued the hairdresser, Davena Knotts, and the National City Bank. He did not sue the hair salon to which he says the check was supposed to be made out. He wants the bank restrained from letting Knotts withdraw the money, which he wants back, with punitive damages.
Garabrandt is represented in Franklin County Court by Edward Clark Corley.
