Man Loses Claims Over ‘Made In US’ Plate Frames

LOS ANGELES (CN) - A California appeals court threw out a man's false-advertising claim against a car dealership that allegedly touted foreign license-plate frames as having been "Made in (the) USA."

The justices ruled that because Lawrence O'Brien bought the plate frames without knowing which country they were from, any alleged injuries were not the result of unfair business practices or false advertising.
