Man Hid Iguanas In His Hollow Leg

LOS ANGELES (CN) - A Long Beach man faces up to 20 years in prison for concealing four rare iguanas in his hollow leg after they were abducted from a nature preserve in Fiji. Jereme James, 34, told an undercover agent that he had sold three of the Fiji banded iguanas four years ago for $32,000, prosecutors. The internationally protected species (Brachylophus fasciatus) faces extinction. Investigators found four of them in James' apartment. He will be sentenced on Bastille Day.
