Man Claims Memorabilia Museum Owes Him

OLATHE, Kan. (CN) – Actress Debbie Reynolds, the Hollywood Motion Picture and Television Museum, and the Hollywood Motion Picture Trust failed to repay an investor more than $2 million for his help in building a $50 million collection of Hollywood memorabilia, Gregory Orman claims in Johnson County Court.

Orman says the collection contains items “from almost every Academy Award-winning film,” including Marilyn Monroe’s white dress from “The Seven Year Itch” and Dorothy’s ruby-red slippers from “The Wizard of Oz.”
Orman says the defendants refused to repay him for his loans, which total more than $4.9 million with interest. He is represented by Eric Carter of Mustoe Carter.
