HOUSTON (CN) - An adult diaper dealer faces a 10-count fraud indictment accusing him of billing Medicaid for supplies he never delivered, inflating charges and providing diapers to people who didn't need them.
Ene Etim Hogan billed Medicaid more than $1 million from June 2004 to March 2006 and received $683,000 for adult incontinence products supplied by his company, Shanet Medical Source, according to the indictment.
"Each of the 10 counts of health care fraud alleged in the indictment carries a maximum statutory penalty of 10 years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine upon conviction," federal prosecutors said.
