ST. LOUIS (CN) - A 41-year-old Missouri man was charged with threatening to bomb the Jefferson County Courthouse. Scott R. Jones, of Eureka, Mo., faces one felony count of threatening to injure or damage a person or building with an explosive device.

Prosecutors say Jones used his cell phone to deliver the threat to the Division Six Court Clerk in the Jefferson County Courthouse in Hillsboro, Mo., on Nov. 16.

No motivation was given for the threat.

Jones faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.
