Malicious Prosecution

A former employee sued St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Randy Smith and two of his officers in federal court, claiming they falsely arrested and maliciously prosecuted him after he criticized the sheriff’s department, accusing him of “criminal defamation,” though the Louisiana Supreme Court has thrown out that law.
