BROOKLYN — A federal court in New York upheld a jury verdict against NYPD officers who were found liable for unlawful search and malicious prosecution and ordered to pay $890,000 in damages for coercing a woman into writing a false statement accusing someone of kidnapping and other crimes. The evidence sufficed for the verdict.
