Male Breast Enlargement

An appeals court in California reversed a ruling in favor of Janssen Pharmaceuticals and against three plaintiffs prescribed with the drug risperidone as adolescents, who claim the drug caused them to develop gynecomastia — a condition that causes enlargement of male breast tissue.

LOS ANGELES — An appeals court in California reversed summary judgment for Janssen Pharmaceuticals, reviving claims by three plaintiffs who developed gynecomastia — a condition that causes enlargement of male breast tissue — after they were prescribed the drug risperidone as adolescents. Their claims are not pre-empted.
