Magician Sued Over Rent After Closing Show

LAS VEGAS (CN) - The Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino says headlining magician Steve Wyrick's production company failed to pay more than $208,500 in rent to use a theater designed for and named after the magician.

Miracle Mile's parent company, Boulevard West, says it leased 22,398 square feet to Wyrick Magical Productions to use the theater.

But Wyrick shut down his magic show in December 2009, the lawsuit states, and his parent company failed to pay rent.

Boulevard West wants its money, along with a restraining order barring Wyrick's company from removing any items from the theater.

Plaintiff is represented by Kirby Gruchow with Leach Johnson.
