Magic mushrooms

SAN FRANCISCO — The Ninth Circuit dismissed a petition for review of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s response to an attorney’s letter seeking advice on how a doctor could administer “magic mushrooms” to a terminally ill patient without incurring liability under the Controlled Substances Act. As the letter was informational, and not a final agency decision, the court lacked jurisdiction to review it.
