HOUSTON (CN) - A Texas high school dance coach moved her team captain into her house and turned the girl into her "sex slave," the girl's mother claims in an explicit lawsuit.
Mary King-White and her daughter, A.W., sued the Humble Independent School District, its former dance instructor Amanda Michelle Feenstra and six school officials, in Federal Court.
Humble is a Houston suburb.
Feenstra pleaded guilty in October and was sentenced to 10 years probation after admitting she had sex with A.W. for more than a year.
King-White claims that in April 2009 her daughter, a 16-year-old sophomore, was named leader of the Humble High School Wildcats dance team, which made her "responsible for working with the dance instructor to develop routines."
The school hired Feenstra, then 30, that spring and she immediately began scheduling after-school meetings with A.W., isolating her from her family and teammates, King-White says in the lawsuit.
Feenstra told the mother she needed to spend more time with her daughter to improve her dance skills, King-White claims.
Then Feenstra started showing up at A.W.'s house late at night and early in the morning, and having the teen over to her house, under the pretense of discussing new dance routines.
"Eventually, Feenstra convinced A.W. to move into Feenstra's residence with Feenstra and Feenstra's husband," the complaint states. "Although A.W.'s mother initially objected, Feenstra told A.W.'s mother that the move-in was in A.W.'s best interest, since it would allow A.W. to work on dance routines with Feenstra, help develop A.W.'s leadership skills, and help Feenstra mold A.W. for college."
Soon, Feenstra was dry-humping A.W. and constantly telling her she loved her, King-White says in the lawsuit.
"Feenstra ultimately moved up to kissing and licking A.W.'s vagina with her tongue (cunnilingus). Feenstra also personally shaved A.W.'s vagina on occasions," the mother says. (Parentheses in complaint.)
"Feenstra's mind control over A.W. succeeded in making A.W. her 'sex slave,'" and she had with the teen whenever her husband went out of town, the mother says.
She claims that Feenstra took to using dildos on A.W. that "gave A.W. numerous sores in her vaginal region because the toys were unclean."
It wasn't just at home that Feenstra seduced A.W, the mom says: "On many other occasions, Feenstra insisted that A.W. have sex with her at Humble High School, including in Feenstra's office, on the floor of school's dance room, at training camp, and after most every football game during the football season," the complaint states.
King-White and A.W. seek punitive damages for civil rights violations, sexual assault, gross negligence, infliction of emotional distress and negligent hiring.
They are represented by Aubrey "Nick" Pittman of Dallas.
