Lizard pet trade

TUCSON, Ariz. — Conservationists are asking the feds to ban the import and sale of the Blue Tree Monitor, a rare Indonesian lizard coveted for its bright blue hue. The Fish and Wildlife Service previously listed the lizard as endangered in 2024, but the Center for Biological Diversity says the agency declined to follow up and finalize protections.
