Lipitor Lawsuit

A federal court in New York dismissed 24 plaintiffs’ lawsuit claiming Pfizer’s cholesterol drug Lipitor caused their type 2 diabetes, finding that if their claims arose after a 2012 label change to the drug, they are preempted, and if their claims arose before 2016, they are untimely.

MANHATTAN – A federal court in New York dismissed a lawsuit claiming Pfizer’s cholesterol drug Lipitor caused Type 2 diabetes for 24 plaintiffs, finding that, if their claims arose after a 2012 label change to the drug, they are pre-empted, and, if their claims arose before 2016, they are untimely.
