Life sentence for Daesh fighter

RICHMOND, Va. — The Fourth Circuit affirmed the convictions and life sentences for El Shafee Elsheikh, a fighter for the Islamic State group and former U.K. citizen who participated in a “brutal scheme” of capturing and torturing hostages, some of whom were traded in negotiations while others were executed on camera.
