License Plate Reader

A California appeals court rejected a defendant’s claim that a report by generated an automatic license plate reader database violated his Fourth Amendment rights. The court ruled that any error in admitting the report was harmless because other evidence proved the defendant switched license plates after shooting at another vehicle.
