Lewd Graffiti|Could be Costly

MILWAUKEE (CN) - Lewd graffiti has led to a $200,000 complaint in Milwaukee County Court. Marcus Hotels claims that Walton Construction Co. workers drew a nude woman and male genitalia on walls during a renovation, and the graffiti eventually bled through the wall coverings throughout the hotel, damaging its reputation and requiring costly repairs.

Marcus Hotels claims that the lowest bid it received for remediation of the graffiti was "well in excess of $200,000 - and it was from a contractor now out of business."

The complaint involves the Hotel Phillips in Kansas City.
