Lenny Dykstra Sues Media Company

MANHATTAN (CN) - Lenny Dykstra, a former Met and Philly who now calls himself an "investment strategist," demands $500,000 from Doubledown Media, claiming it interfered with the publication of the second issue of his magazine, "The Players Club."

Dykstra, aka Nails and The Dude, claims he paid Doubledown $50,000 per issue "to provide services" to for his magazine. He claims Doubledown demanded extra money for the second issue, scheduled for May 1 release, and when he refused, Doubledown instructed the printer not to print the magazine, and otherwise interfered with his business.

Dykstra also sues Doubledown president Randall Lane. He is represented in Federal Court by Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Preston Gates Ellis.
