Leibovitz Suit Dropped; Photog Buys Back Rights

NEW YORK (CN) - Art Capital withdrew its lawsuit against Annie Leibovitz and gave the photographer more time to repay a $24 million loan.

Leibovitz also was allowed to repurchase copyrights to her work and the right to sell her homes - rights she sold to Art Capital when she took out the loan, The Associated Press reported.

Art Capital sued Leibovitz in July in New York Supreme Court, claiming she had no intention of repaying the loan, which was due earlier this week.

The photographer's homes will remain as collateral until the loan is paid off.
