SAN FRANCISCO - Noting that lead contents in their products do not reach regulatory thresholds, a California appeals court affirmed judgment for dozens of companies, the first of which alphabetically is Beech-Nut Nutrition.

Other big brands named as defendants in the action are Del Monte, Dole, Lucerne, Smucker and Welch's; pharmacies like CVS, Safeway, Target and Walgreen's; and supermarkets like Kroger, Trader Joe's, Wal-Mart and Whole Foods.
