Lawyer Discipline

The Commission for Lawyer Discipline sued Daniel J. Rizzo in Harris County Court, claiming that as lead prosecutor in a capital murder case against Alfred Dewayne Brown, he failed to disclose exculpatory information; Brown was convicted in 2005 but in 2019 was found “actually innocent.”

HOUSTON — The Commission for Lawyer Discipline sued Daniel J. Rizzo in Harris County Court, claiming that he failed to disclose exculpatory information as lead prosecutor in a capital murder case against Alfred Dewayne Brown.

Fourteen years after a conviction, Brown was found “actually innocent” in 2019.
