Lawyer Claims Alleged Prostitute Harassed Him

LOS ANGELES (CN) -- A prominent California lawyer has sued an alleged prostitute whom he claims was hired to conduct "a campaign of extortion and harassment intended to discredit" him.

Mitchell J. Stein, in a suit filed in Superior Court, claimed that "adverse parties" with whom he was involved in disputes funded and assisted a prostitute named Kimberly N. Williams who, among other things, threatened to file paternity suits against Stein and told Stein's wife that "she wanted $500,000 in order to not 'go public' with her allegations."

Williams later demanded $5 million, the suit said.

She also created a blog on a website designed by PCS Adult Websdesign, which is also named a defendant. The blog -- which is the first entry that comes up for "Mitchell J. Stein" on the Google search engine -- contains "purported personal emails between Williams and plaintiff that discuss salacious interactions between them and plaintiff's purported business and professional improprieties," the suit said.

Williams allegedly "castigates" Stein in the blog over a child he fathered and his affair with her and includes links to other anonymous criticisms of Stein.

According to the complaint, PCS in the past developed Williams' prostitution web sites.

The defendant has "barraged people" including the California State Bar, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Stein's ex-wife with attacks, the suit said, and also filed accusations in the Florida bankruptcy proceeding of Stein's former law firm, Dreier Stein Kahan Browne Woods George LLP.

The complaint describes Stein as a "well known entrepreneur and philanthropist" who has practiced corporate law in California for 25 years.

The suit was filed by Kenin M. Spivak.
