Latino Interactive Sues Consultant

MANHATTAN (CN) - Latino Interactive claims a California-based consultant it hired for $10,000 a month to help launch Mio.TV, an Internet-based bilingual entertainment network, is a one-woman wrecking ball who exceeded her budget by more than 1,000%, defamed the company, and falsely claimed ownership of its shows.

Latino Interactive demands $1 million from Concepcion Lara, "not only to recover its damages caused by Lara's past misconduct, but also to disabuse her of any ridiculous belief she maintains any ownership of the company or its intellectual property, and to enjoin her from slandering the company any further."

Latino Interactive is represented in Federal Court by Wallace Neel with Reed Smith.
