RIVERSIDE, Calif. (CN) - A Los Angeles Police officer was charged with selling 111 grams of methamphetamine. Yoshio Romero allegedly put the drug in a candy box on the front seat of his car, and told the buyer to leave $4,200 in the center console.

Romero, 28, of Corona, was arrested at his home on Monday, and was arraigned the next day, the U.S. Attorney's Office said. He is scheduled to appear in San Diego Federal Court today. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison.
