Lap Dance Pay Puts Lawyer’s License In Limbo

CHICAGO (CN) - An attorney's license was suspended after he accepted a nude lap dance as payment for legal services. Scott Robert Erwin's 15-month suspension will begin Oct. 7.

An exotic dancer agreed to dance for Erwin in his office in exchange for reduced legal fees, the Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission report states. Erwin reduced her fees by $534.

The woman complained to police that Erwin touched her inappropriately during the dances. Erwin denied the inappropriate touching accusations and no criminal charges were filed.
