Lab Says Feds Endanger 4,000 Patients

SHREVEPORT (CN) - Doctors Lab, a rural laboratory that serves 4,000 patients in 40 nursing homes, says the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services unconstitutionally endangered patients' lives by threatening to suspend its license immediately for "alleged deficiencies." The federal claim says the lab - the only provider of lab services to nursing homes in parts of central and northwest Louisiana - did not receive adequate warning or due process.
