LOS ANGELES (CN) - Los Angeles Superior Court will lay off 329 staffers on April 1, and plans are in the mix to lay off 500 more in September and 530 in fall of 2011, according to published reports.
The announcement came in a memo Friday from Superior Court Executive Officer John A. Clarke, The Los Angeles Times reported.
Notices will go out March 16, the Times reported.
The newer employees will be the first to go, a court spokeswoman told the paper.
