LOS ANGELES (CN) - Los Angeles Police Protective League sued the City of Los Angeles and Police Chief William Bratton, claiming Bratton ordered cops to work crowd control at a January protest without helmets. One officer was whacked on the head in a melee. The officers want the city enjoined from ordering them to work without helmets, in Superior Court.
