(CN) - The owners of the Jungle Rangers computer game must stop falsely advertising that it improves children's memory, behavior and schoolwork, and quiets attention deficit hyperactive disorder, the FTC said Tuesday.
The FTC sued Focus Education, its CEO Michael Apstein and CFO John Able for the way they advertise the kid's game.
The FTC says the men have made $4.5 million from sales of the game, for which they charge $214.75.
The settled complete is replete with citations from the defendants' ads, including that it will help "create new pathways in the brain."
The FTC approved the consent order by 6-0 vote.
