VANCOUVER, B.C. (CN) - Rock band Kiss claims Big Mountain Concert Co. owes them $900,000 for booking the band for a September concert in the resort town of Whistler, B.C., then canceling after failing to secure financing and a venue.
Kiss demands the $900,000 plus damages for injury to their reputation. They claim defendant Dennis MacDonald, who owns Big Mountain, canceled just 12 days before showtime after assuring them, falsely, that he had everything set. Kiss is represented in B.C. Supreme Court by John Elwick with Alexander Holburn Beaudin & Lang. See complaint.
