King’s Relative Says He Was Scammed

PALM BEACH (CN) - A man who says he is the brother-in-law of the king of Jordan claims two men defrauded him of $13 million - his share of profits from Pentagon oil supply contracts for the U.S. military in Iraq.

Mohamad Anwar Farid al-Saleh sued his partners, Harry Sergeant III and Mustafa Abu-Naba'a, and the International Oil Trading Co. in Palm Beach County Court. He claims the defendants owe him his one-third share of "profits from the group's valuable contracts with the Government of the United States, through the Defense Energy Support Center based in Fort Belvoir, Va., for the shipment of oil across Jordan for use by the United States military in Iraq."

He claims the defendants would never have got the contract, or the ability to fulfill it, without his help.

Plaintiff says he is married to Princess Alia Al Hussein, half-sister to King Abdullah II.

He says Sergeant is a U.S. citizen who lives in Florida and works out of Boca Raton. Aba-Naba'a is allegedly a Dominican citizen who works out of Boca Raton.

Plaintiff's lead counsel is Boies, Schiller & Flexner of Orlando.
