ST. LOUIS - Kidnapper and pedophile Michael Devlin was sentenced to 170 years in federal prison for child pornography and transporting a minor across state lines for sex. The sentence will run consecutively with his state sentences of life in prison.
Devlin, 42, was arrested in January after police found two missing boys in his suburban St. Louis apartment. The case made international headlines because one of the boys had been missing for more than four years.
It is the final sentencing for Devlin, who pleaded guilty to the federal counts in October.
"This should be the final chapter in this horrific story," U.S. Attorney Catherine Hanaway said."This federal sentence insures that if Mr. Devlin is ever paroled from the state penitentiary, he will go directly to the federal penitentiary and stay there the rest of his life."
