Kansas Supreme Court

FAMILY LAW - A mother suspected that her child had seen the father doing drugs when the child said, "I know how to roll a joint cause I saw daddy do it" and "Daddy was smoking a glass pipe with white powder in it." J. Nuss found that the father was properly denied court-appointed counsel and a continuance. The father had asked his first attorney to withdraw, saying he wanted to represent himself. See ruling.
