Judge’s Retaliation Suit

Texas Governor Greg Abbott and other defendants are entitled to absolute prosecutorial immunity in a case brought by former state Judge Suzanne Wooten, the Fifth Circuit ruled. Wooten claims law enforcement officials unconstitutionally investigated and prosecuted her in retaliation for unseating an incumbent judge.
