Judge Sides With Paramount Over Pinball

MANHATTAN (CN) - A federal judge sided with Paramount Pictures, which claimed that its use of a "Silver Slugger" pinball machine in the movie "What Women Want" was "de minimis and therefore not actionable." The machine, distributed by plaintiff Gottlieb Development, appears in the background of a scene featuring Mel Gibson, who in the movie acquires the ability to hear what women are thinking.
