MANHATTAN (CN) - U.S. District Judge John Sprizzo has denied the U.S. Department of Energy's request for a 9-month extension to set energy efficiency standards for furnaces and boilers. Judge Sprizzo gave the DOE until Nov. 6 to issue a final rule, pursuant to the Nov. 7, 2006 consent decree in State of New York (and 14 other states) v. U.S. DOE. See ruling.
