Judge Dismisses Digital Music Antitrust Case

NEW YORK (CN) - A federal judge has dismissed a putative class action that accused Bertelsmann, Sony, EMI Music and other major labels of conspiring to fix the price of digital music, sold as CDs or downloads. Judge Loretta Preska said the plaintiffs failed to support their claims for violations of the Sherman Act, state antitrust laws and unfair competition.
