LAS VEGAS (CN) - O.J. Simpson will not get a new trial, the judge who presided over his armed robbery and kidnapping trial ruled Friday. Clark County District Judge Jackie Glass also denied requests that Simpson and Clarence "C.J." Stewart be released on bail before their Dec. 5. sentencings.
The men's attorneys vowed to call for a new trial after the men were convicted Oct. 3 of a dozen counts, including armed robbery, kidnapping and assault, for robbing two sports memorabilia dealers in a hotel room Sept. 13, 2007. Both face up to life in prison.
The four men who testified against Simpson and Stewart in exchange for plea deals will be sentenced on Dec. 9.
