Judge Collars Bow Wow With $50,000 Judgment

ST. LOUIS (CN) – A concert promoter won a $50,000 default judgment against rapper Bow Wow in federal court.
U.S. District Judge Charles A. Shaw gave the award to Brad Gould dba Macsimum Entertainment after Bow Wow backed out of two concerts in 2009.
Gould paid Bow Wow a $50,000 advance. He sought $93,000 in damages, which included $43,000 in expenses, but Shaw found insufficient evidence on those expenses.
“The court held a hearing in this matter on July 14, 2011,” Shaw wrote. “At the hearing, plaintiff’s counsel stated that the witness who could testify as to the $43,000.00 was unavailable and would be indefinitely. The court did enter into evidence electronic withdrawal payments totaling $50,000.00 drawn on plaintiff’s account.”
The judgment was entered against Lil Bow Wow Inc. Bow Wow’s actual name is Shad Gregory Moss.
