WASHINGTON (CN) – A judge ordered the government to finalize how it will search an anti-Trump website without sweeping in innocent visitors.
DreamHost has challenged the government’s search warrant in the Superior Court of Washington, D.C. The case involves a search warrant for disruptj20.org, a website hosted by DreamHost that prosecutors say was used to organize violence that broke out during President Donald Trump's inauguration in January.
Prosecutors have filed felony charges against more than 200 people who are accused of having participated in the riots.
Judge Robert Morin ruled Wednesday Dreamhost has 24 hours to respond with recommended changes once the government files its proposal.
