Journalists Kept in Court After Jackson Doctor Exits

(CN) - A group of journalists were briefly detained inside a courtroom after a child support hearing involving Michael Jackson's former physician, Dr. Conrad Murray.

The reporters were blocked by an armed bailiff from leaving the courtroom for several minutes Monday while Murray left the Clark County Family Court building, The Associated Press reported.

Murray is not charged with any crime relating to Jackson's death, but is the focus of an investigation.

He was in court to explain details of an agreement over $15,000 in unpaid child support payments. He was in his car and gone before the journalists were allowed to leave the courtroom, the AP reported.
